The University of Dayton Board of Trustees named Darlene Weaver, UD’s provost and executive vice president for academic affairs, as the University’s 20th president. She will begin her tenure July 1 as the first woman to serve as president in UD’s 176-year history.
Paul Haught, the University’s vice provost for faculty, graduate and professional education, will become UD’s interim provost, effective Nov. 1, while Darlene Weaver begins her transition to UD president July 1.
